Red fig is used to make jam. Fruits are cut in bite-size pieces as a consequence flavors are accentuated. The tandem Fig-Gingerbread perfectly matches. Gingerbread’s flavours are present on the finish and give the impression to bite into slices of gingerbread topped with fig jam.
Jams have been developed together with Dominique Gauthier, chef of Beau Rivage, Genève, elected « Chef of the Year 2009 ».
Packaging
Fig Jam Gingerbread is wrapped in stackable glass jar inkwell shapped. Packaging is available in 220g and 350g glass jar. Jars are pasteurized, giving them a 3-year expiry date (DLC/BBD).
Best use
Ideal with cheeses and foie gras.
Fig Jam Gingerbread might well be associated with yoghurts, toasts and fruit pies…
