Picholine is more used as treated table olives than oil. Olives are harvested in October and need longer debittering method. Picholine is also called the « olive of Nîmes ».
Preparation with mint basil lemon : after picking, olives are sized and debittered. Picholine is mixed with a triple combination : mint, basil and lemon. Aromatics give a pleasant feeling of freshness and lemon brings slightly sour.
Ingredients : mint, basil, lemon, Picholine, water, salt.
Packaging :
Olives are available in sterilized verrines (175g), which provides an 3-year expiry date for consumption.
Keep refrigerated after opening.
Best use
Mint Basil Lemon Picholine is nice as appetizers. Put olives in the fridge 30 minutes beforehand. Crunchiness of olive, freshness of mint and lemon are outstanding.
